Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 lands October 22 with Edgerunners 2 content

CD Projekt Red announced a free Cyberpunk 2077 patch on October 20, the same day all ten episodes of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 landed on Netflix. The patch is the Edgerunners 2 Update, also called Update 2.5. It is dated October 22 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 build “will follow shortly.” There is no Switch 2 calendar day in the announcement.

What CDPR has actually named

The press note says the update adds “a range of new items and features,” including content inspired by the new anime. The studio’s own REDstreams post is more specific about two systems: cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle. That is the confirmed list. CDPR has not published weapon restrictions, quest names, map changes, or a download size.
