GTA 6 latest news: August 2026 weekly brief

Rockstar dropped Title Update 1.07 on Tuesday. It is not a content drop. It is a traffic, economy, and mission-fail hotfix, which is the kind of patch that does not trend and still changes how you play after dinner. This brief covers what shipped, what players are still reporting, and which money methods from last week still pay.

What shipped in Title Update 1.07

• Traffic density cut on the Vice Beach causeway during peak hours. The infamous five-minute standstill after a wanted level is mostly gone.
• Store robbery cash tables rebalanced. Corner stores pay less; gas stations and the new marina kiosks pay more.
• A mission-fail bug on “ Palmetto Run” that soft-locked co-op sessions is patched.
• Map markers for daily Street Deals no longer vanish after a long load.

Money this week

Last week’s dock-crate loop got a quiet nerf — crate values dropped about 18%. The marina kiosk robberies are the replacement for a mid-level character. They take three minutes, pay consistently, and do not spike a three-star wanted level if you leave on the water.

If you are past the first act, the night-time street-deal circuit along Boulevard Bay is still the cleanest hourly rate we have timed. Do it in a civilian car. The wanted-level decay is faster than in a stolen sports car, which sounds backwards and is unfortunately true.

What to play this weekend

1. Finish “Palmetto Run” if you bounced off it last week. The fail state is gone.
2. Buy the marina storage locker before the next economy pass. It is cheap now and it is the only stash that persists across the two-character swap.
3. Skip the new street-race playlist until they fix rubber-banding on the airport loop. It is not worth the cooldown.
