Review: Valorant Premier Stage, summer 2026
The amateur league is healthier. The map pool is not. A notes dump from three weeks of games.

Premier is the product. Ranked is the queue you play when your fifth did not show. After the summer stage and the 11.04 patch, the league feels closer to a real amateur circuit than it did a year ago — with the usual caveats about map vetoes and people who still instalock duelists in a team lobby.
Format
Bo3 for playoffs is correct. The regular season Bo1 still produces noise, but the Swiss-ish climb is readable. If you are a new stack, play the regular season for defaults, not for glory. Glory is a five-week process.
The meta that actually showed up
- Omen / Sova cores on Haven and Sunset.
- Jett Operators on Split the moment it rotated in.
- Vyse as the second sentinel, not the first. The wall bugfix will push her up next month.
The Operator price bump will show in amateur second rounds starting this week. Teams that auto-Op on attack after a pistol win will start losing the bonus. That is good for the league even if it is annoying for your Jett main.
