Beginner sensitivity settings guide for Valorant
One eDPI range, one crosshair, and the drill that actually transfers to a real round.

Valorant is a game about stopping your mouse. If you come from Apex or COD, your sensitivity is too high. This is the boring setup that lets you hit the first bullet. The first bullet is the game.
eDPI
Start at 280 eDPI (example: 800 DPI × 0.35). You should be able to do a 180 in one swipe without lifting, and you should not be able to do two. If you can whip a full 360 without thinking, you are too fast.
Crosshair
- Static. No outlines unless you play on a map with white walls and cannot see a white crosshair.
- Cyan or green. Not a color in the agent kit.
- Gap 0, thickness 1, length 3. You can change it later. You will not.
The 12-minute drill
- Deathmatch, Sheriff only, 6 minutes. Heads. If you spray, restart.
- Range, Vandal, 30 bots, 6 minutes. Strafe-stop-shoot. The stop is the skill.
