Black Ops 7 weapon tier list, Season 3
What to level, what to ignore, and which “new” gun is a reskin with a better magazine.

Season 3 added two ARs, one SMG, and a marksman that nobody asked for. After a week of Ranked Play, the chart is stable enough to publish. This is not a “use whatever you like” list. It is a “this is what wins gunfights at this TTK” list.
S-tier
| Gun | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Ames 9 | AR | Best mid-range TTK after the recoil pass. No excuse not to level it. |
| KSV | SMG | Still the close-range default. The Season 3 grip does not change that. |
A-tier
| Gun | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Model L | AR | Forgiving if you cannot control Ames 9. Slightly slower TTK. |
| C9 | SMG | Better at 12–18m than the KSV. Worse in a slide fight. |
| LR 7.62 | Sniper | One-shot to the chest in Ranked Play. Slow rechamber. |
Leave it in the armory
The new marksman is a content drop, not a meta drop. It loses to the Ames 9 in every range that matters on the Season 3 maps. The battle-pass shotgun is fun in pubs and a throw in Ranked Play. Prestige it if you want the camo. Do not take it to a CDL ladder match.
We will republish this list the Monday after Season 3 Reloaded. If a gun jumps two tiers, it will be the Ames getting hit, not the KSV.
