Best landing spots for Fortnite Season 3 ranked
Six named locations, two unranked poi’s, and the one farm you should stop dropping.

Updated after v33.20. The Kinetic Sling does not change where you land. It changes how late you can leave. That makes a few previously “too far” pois viable again, and it makes contested towns worse, because everyone else can leave too.
S-tier drops
- Tidewell — three chests on the dock, a guaranteed pump, and a rotate along the coast that never fights the first zone. Land on the south roof.
- Ridgeline — unranked poi on the west cliff. Two vaults this season. Dead in pubs, alive in Unreal because nobody wants to walk.
- The greenhouse west of Grand Bazaar — not named, not contested, four slurp barrels.
Stop dropping these
Grand Bazaar is a content poi. It looks good in the trailer and it is a 12-player bloodbath with one decent shotgun spawn. The new canyon town is worse: the bus avoids it in Ranked for two minutes, then dumps the late jumpers on top of the people who already looted. You are not him.
A clean early route
Tidewell south roof → dock chests → coastal houses → sling into the second zone if it pulls east. You will have a pump, an AR, and two stacks of wood before first circle closes. That is the whole ranked plan. Highlights are for pubs.
If your drop needs a hot-drop clip to feel worth it, you are farming content, not rank.— Devon Hale
